Principal - Stewart Place

Stewart has been providing solutions in direct mail marketing for over 20 years since earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Printing Management from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

His experience includes list research, customer service, campaign management, program design and for the past 10 years database driven strategic marketing.

Stewart has always been on the "business end" of program development and problem solving. His expertise and experience enable his consultative approach to helping his clients execute cost efficient and effective marketing programs.

 

Principal - Jim Saylor

Jim has over 30 years of advertising and direct marketing experience with a special focus on driving results through database applications.His experience includes senior management positions in both the publishing and the cable TV industries.

Jim's passion is matching database driven strategies with creative that moves the needle and brings the results clients are looking for.

From 1996 to 1999 Jim helped manage the launch and roll out of an International Communications Company selling one of the first triple plays (Video, Voice and Internet) anywhere in the world. Jim is a graduate of Michigan State University School of Communications Arts with a major in Advertising.

 

Research and Strategy - Barbara Trenchard

Barbara Trenchard has a deep background in market research, holding a variety of positions primarily in the cable television, telecommunications, and advertising industries.

She brings a wealth of experience in branding, positioning, and marketing strategy development, as well as expertise in a wide variety of both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. Her experience also includes conducting research in various verticals.

Most recently, she served as Director of Research for AZN Television and International Networks. Prior to that, Barbara held positions as the Director of Market Intelligence for AT&T Broadband, Director of Market Research for Jones Intercable and Director of Leadership Development for Jones Intercable.

Her background also includes research positions at HBO, Showtime, Ted Bates Advertising and DDB Needham Worldwide. Barbara has an M.A. in Psychology from New York University and a B.A. from University of Colorado at Boulder.

 

Graphic Design - Gretchen Place

As a professional illustrator and designer, Gretchen adds her expertise to Yellow Hat's creative offerings. She has 20 years experience creating for print, multimedia, and web based applications.

Yellow Hat Marketing recently announced the addition of three new companies to its client portfolio.

Marketing G2 a Philadelphia based Database solutions provider serving the newspaper industry. Yellow Hat Marketing will be assisting Marketing G2 with its on going marketing communications.

The Minneapolis Star Tribune has also recently signed on with YHM to design and execute email marketing.Email campaigns include a Refer-A-Friend program and a subscriber acquisition effort against formers.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is using YHM to drive Win-Back subscribers. A targeted direct mail program developed and managed by Yellow Hat Marketing is achieving a 1.78% response rate with a very low cost per sale.
